Four campuses across South Africa, UJ, Wits, UCT and UKZN, are gearing up to host thousands of tourists during the month of June for the 2010 Fifa World Cup.
 
Plans have been underway for the last three years across the country, where the university campuses of Johannesburg, Witwatersrand, Cape Town and KwaZulu Natal have undergone extensive infrastructure upgrades for what is hoped will make ideal World Cup bases for large groups of tourists.
 
“It will be a fun-filled World Cup experience that is ideal for groups,” says Mark Hinton, who came up with the accommodation idea.
