Breakfast Challenge?

White Star is hosting South Africa’s Biggest Breakfast occasion.

The country’s favourite maize brand, White Star is staging a record attempt for South Africa’s Biggest Breakfast occasion on Saturday, July 29th in Umlazi, Durban and Soweto, Johannesburg. With its convenient, nutritious, tasty and affordable range of porridges, it’s safe to say that White Star has made it possible for millions of South Africans to start their day the right way. For this reason, the brand is calling on the entire country to participate in this record-breaking event by enjoying a deliciously creamy bowl of White Star Instant Porridge on the morning of South Africa’s Biggest Breakfast challenge.

“It’s a proven fact that breakfast provides the body and brain with the fuel we need to kick-start our day after an overnight fast. School children in particular, need to start the day with a healthy breakfast because this meal has been proven to greatly improve concentration levels at school. The convenience of instant porridge, along with its excellent nutritional value, make it the perfect option for busy mornings with little ones,” explains White Star Marketing Manager, Mokhele Makhothi.

Those participating in SA’s Biggest Breakfast occasion in Umlazi, Durban will no doubt also be enthused by White Star brand ambassador for KwaZulu-Natal and Ukhozi FM presenter, Dudu Khoza, as MC, while those in Soweto will be entertained by award-winning Scandal actress, Mapaseka Koetle-Nyokong. Both Durban and Johannesburg events will be hosted simultaneously, where spot prizes, hampers and exciting entertainment will be staged along with live cross-overs to both venues for the enjoyment of all participants. The SA’ Biggest Breakfast challenge is without a doubt a not-to-be-missed event.

For every bowl of White Star Instant Porridge enjoyed on the day of the SA’s Biggest Breakfast, White Star will donate one kilogram of White Star Instant Porridge to its affiliated charities and this is not a first for the brand. Pioneer Foods, White Star holding company, has been feeding breakfast to 26 000 children from 26 schools around the country on a daily basis. All children need and deserve a nutritional and healthy start to their day, which is why White Star is calling on all South Africans to take a stand and promote the importance of breakfast by supporting this worthy cause.

“At White Star, we’re here to remind all South Africans about the difference we can make to our day by taking a few minutes to have something healthy to eat first thing in the morning. With this in mind, we invite everyone to take part in SA’s Biggest Breakfast occasion so that we can set a record of the most people eating breakfast together at one time,” concludes Makhothi.
